Ni la pandemia del coronavirus, pudo impedir que se realizara una nueva edición de los MTV VMAs 2020 Video Music Awards, una ceremonia en la que artistas como Lady Gaga, BTS, The Weeknd y Maluma, adornaron la noche desde la ciudad de Nueva York.
Aunque el premio más importante de la noche, 'Video de la noche' se lo llevó The Weeknd, lo cierto es que la cantante pop Lady Gaga se robó la noche por varias razones.
El cantante, que aparecía con maquillaje que simulaba una cara magullada, repetía así el mismo discurso que ya dio al recibir el primero de los dos galardones que recibió en Nueva York, al mejor vídeo de R&B, también por 'Blinding Lights'.
El canadiense derrotó al recibir el galardón al mejor vídeo del año a grandes contrincantes como Lady Gaga y Ariana Grande con 'Rain on Me”, Billie Eilish con “Everything I Wanted”, Eminem con “Godzilla”, en el que colaboró con Juice WRLD, Future y Drake por “Life Is Good”, y Taylor Swift por “The Man”.
Por su parte, la intérprete de 'Rain On Me' y 'Stupid Love', como en los viejos tiempos, aprovechó el evento para disfrazarse en varias ocasiones y recomendar al público usar una mascarilla, ya que a su juicio es 'sinónimo de respeto por los demás'.
La controversial Lady Gaga se llevó las estatuillas de los VMAs 2020 en la categoría de 'mejor colaboración' por su canción con Ariana Grande, 'mejor cinematografía', y también el premio por 'artista del año', una categoría en la que se mostró muy agradecida.
La estrella del género urbano, Maluma, se llevó este domingo el MTV Video Music Award (VMA) a mejor videoclip en la categoría 'Latino' por su 'Qué pena' con J Balvin.
La ceremonia de la premiación se llevó a cabo en interiores en el Barclays Center de Nueva York, pero también contó con presentaciones en vivo al aire libre, esto debido a las pautas establecidas para frenar la propagación del nuevo coronavirus.
